This track features four of Vancouver's youngest and most precocious traditional jazz musicians: 18-year-old Kayden Gorden on the trumpet, originally from Chilliwack, and born-and-raised East Van jazz boys Sky Lambourne on the trombone, Joseph Abbott on the clarinet, and Aaron Levinson on the tambourine (all between the ages of 20-24 during the time of this recording). Vancouverites may recognize the latter 3 guys from the Rossi Gang, a crew of bohemian young people known for busking around the city and making annual pilgrimages to New Orleans to immerse themselves in jazz and the associated lifestyle. Meeting, mentoring, and working with these brilliant and enthusiastic young musicians over the past couple of years has been a tremendous source of inspiration for me.

The guitar playing on this track is care of the one and only Arnt Arntzen, grandson of Lloyd who is featured on track 1 of this EP, my jazz brother with whom I have played music (and drank beer in parking lots) all over the world. He is playing a unique and obscure parlour guitar that he bought while we were playing at a festival in Penticton, and between the fingerstyle playing he does to kick off this track and the mighty chunk of his rhythm playing thereafter, there is no question as to why we love Arnt's unique playing so very much!
